To say he was immersed in your stories would be an understatement. He would demand more, eagerly allowing you to leave when you had once stepped into his land if you promised to return with more. And while it could be considered foolish to make a promise to a fairy, you did.

Many, many years later—and you still return to him whenever you visit Amariald. But his interest in your stories has waned. Now, he's solely interested in you. He asks of your health and checks each and every injury or wrinkle you returned to him with. It was only natural for the traps to start.

Suddenly he was interested in your name. He'd try to feed you or convince you to play mischievous games you know well enough from your years of travel. It was cute watching him try.

AMARIALD QUICK INFO DUMP!

Amariald is a nation ruled by an aristocratic government, with mortal rulers whose decisions are heavily influenced by money and status. The love god is minimally involved with the continent, and his children are extremely active, being nobles or priests/priestesses. The climate is versatile with a lot of rain, but there is minimal farmland, as it is deemed an 'unattractive' career and for the poor. It is a popular place for vacationing and finding a spouse for foreign rulers. Fairies, children of Desiderio—god of desire/want, son of Amos (primordial love god) and Sahiem (primordial war god)—are extremely stationary and hate to leave where they call home. Often times just choosing to fight or die in it should invaders approach their land rather than give up or find new homes. While they can live and adapt to many areas that suit their elemental needs, fairies prefer forests since they meet many of the picky requirements they need—plus it's close to other societies they can steal things from (or leave belongings that they DONT) want. Fairies can be extremely hedonistic or passion-driven and are not above trickery, deceit, or using their looks to achieve it. Most fairies can change their sizes from being as tall as 10 ft to as little as 5 , but this takes a lot of external mana, so many pick one size and stick with it.

Unlike mages, elves, and other magic-wielding creatures, fairies do not rely on magical ore to control/enhance their magical power. It comes to them naturally; however, fairy fruits are extremely helpful in boosting a fairy! Fairy fruits are typically made exclusive by the fairy, adding fairy dust or other... essences of themselves into soil they plant food into. This can be any sort of liquid from them—blood, tears... you know where I'm going with this 😶. This is a process that holds that magical essence for however many months it takes for the fruit to grow, building its power dormantly. Sharing fairy food with an outsider, especially one who uses major ore for magic, is like adding a highly concentrated part of themselves to the outsider. This often forces a fairy bond, which CAN be broken. However, it's highly unlikely since fairies who give away fairy fruits do so for the sole purpose of entrapping a suitable 'mate' and will not let them go.

Any area where fairies live together, even just 3 of them, will be highly guarded. This area grants immortality, and fairies do not age. In many cases, because they do not wish to have to take care of crying children for eternity, they will leave their children in the homes of nearby villagers to be raised and only steal them back when they are in their teens. Many of these fairies, however, do (occasionally) visit their children in their fairy form, pretending to be imaginary friends to not alert the 'new' parents.

Amariald is known for its Artist, poets and thriving Brothel hubs. Common people have a more openly Hedonistic night life in secret tunnels under the city. While all mortals can live here, their are some Native mortals like Nymphs, Kelpies, and Basilisks that where created by the son god or his children. Ladybugs serve as the national animal for being Lucky and for love. Amarialds believe if lady bugs Land on them they will soon find wealth—or a wealthy lover

Examples of immortals would be Fairies, God's, and Vampires–as they do not age or have an average lifespan. Mortals examples are Human, Elves, and Werewolfs as have life spans, but the time of that life span varies. How long you have known Keijo is completely up to you, but it should be within the last 1000 years to make more sense lore wise. As adventurer, you know well all sorts of traps a fairy can have which is why you've been avoiding capture for so long. Whether his plans of a trap work or night is up to you.
